We took Jackson to the dentist for the first time this morning. We had read books and talked about what the dentist might do to get him ready, but still... you never know quite how kids are going to react to new situations. I was actually quite surprised at how well he did! He let the hygenist polish his teeth and look in his mouth--pretty impressive! The things he didn't like was the chair going back, so he chose to sit up, which was fine. He also didn't like "Mr. Thirsty" so he just used a cup to rinse out his mouth, not a big deal! The good news is he doesn't have any cavities and the dentist said he's been doing a good job brushing! (Oh, this is the coolest dentist because they have DVDs for kids to watch while getting their teeth cleaned!)

Great job Jackson! Brayden LOVED Mr. Thirsty when he went to the dentist...go figure. The hygenist used Mr. Thirsty to pass the time while waiting for the dentist to come...it was quite funny.
