Somebody's TWO!!

This little guy, who didn't want to be the center of attention while everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" to him! Jonathan turned two a few weeks ago---no longer a baby, but joining the ranks of the big boys, like his brothers!

First Snow!!

We had our first snowfall of the season two weeks ago (I'm just a bit behind on the ol' blog here!) Our boys had a great time, except for Jonathan who we found out does not really like snow. Or maybe he didn't like being cold or having snow on his face, but whatever the reason, he was only outside for about 15 minutes before I took him back inside.

Christmas Concert

The big boys had a Christmas concert a few weeks ago that was awesome! This year, they both sang and participated in the motions, and enjoyed being on stage! They did a wonerful job and we are so proud of them!!

Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!! We have lots to be thankful for this year, like every year!! We hosted our first Thanksgiving in our new house! This was the adult table.

And this was the kids' table!

My turkey turned out great!!! It isn't that hard to make a great turkey! Brining is the key!!

Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings---turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans and gravy! YUM!!

Artist??

Our awesome first-born loves to draw! He draws pictures at school and gives them to friends or his teachers. He's really pretty good for being only 5 years old. This weekend he took one of my canvases and asked if he could draw on it. I couldn't say no! His creation is now hanging next to his great-grandpa's painting in the "office" in the basement. He's got a ways to go before he paints like Great-Grandpa, but it's a great beginning!! Way to go, J-man!! :)

New look

I have always hated the color of our front door! It was so dark and so dingy---definitely needed an updated, cleaned-up look. This weekend my fantastic husband gave our door a fresh new look! I love it!!! It makes our house look so warm and inviting now!! What a difference a coat of paint will do!! One project done, now on the the next one!

We had a fun Halloween this year! The morning started out with pumpkin pancakes, which the boys loved! The afternoon was spent trick-or-treating, with Gammy and with Uncle Sam and Auntie Valerie! Good times and fun memories!

The boys took a break from trick-or-treating to enjoy some of their candy!! Three buckets full of candy!!

A little excitement on a Sunday morning

I was looking out the kitchen window this morning, enjoying the calm, fall morning and admiring the beautiful tree in our backyard---loved it so much I actually took this picture this morning!
All of a sudden, a hawk flew into our tree and started going after a squirrel that was climbing the tree! It was so exciting!! The squirrel kept running away and hiding from the hawk.

Eventually the hawk gave up and flew away!
