Every journey begins with a single step...

....even when you're training for a marathon! This past week I have officially begun my marathon training schedule. I must admit that I have already missed two days this week, so I'm not sure how this will all turn out. The first time I ran a marathon (6 years ago) we didn't have kids and I could sneak in my runs early in the morning before work or at the end of the day. This time around I'm training with 3 kids in tow!! I push our triple jogger and my husband rides his bike with us---it's a family affair! We'll see how well I train for the marathon this time around and how the 26.2 miles will actually turn out come October! I am excited about it (and toally scared and nervous)! I signed up with a dear friend, sort of on a whim, definitely impulsively, but I think it will be great!!! And hopefully it will ease the stresses of live we've been dealing with lately, but if nothing else, maybe I'll finally shed some of these unwanted extra baby pounds!! That can't hurt!!

Our day at the zoo

We spent the day at the zoo with good friends! Our kids had a really great time. We saw lots of fun animals, explored new exhibits, ate lunch, walked around, you know, all the stuff you do when you go to the zoo!

Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter! We celebrated our risen Savior with family! The boys loved their baskets and the several egg hunts we were involved in! We are blessed!

Jonathan was too quiet.....here is what he was up to!

I'm taking a trip on a train!

The boys and I went on a train ride this morning! It was Jonathan's first train ride and he loved it! The big boys have always loved trains and they look forward to it every time we go, which isn't that often unfortunately.
Enjoying some pink coffee (white cocoa with 1/2 shot of raspberry) at Caribou. YUM!

Waiting for the train

Easter goodies

It's no secret that I love to bake and cook with my boys! I am thrilled that they seem to enjoy is just as much as I do, although I think they like the messy, creating part the best, whereas I like the finished product! Here is what we have been up to the past few days.
Oh, we dyed eggs today, but I didn't take pictures of that, but they turned out great! We'll be making some easter basket cupcakes this weekend---can't wait!
Jonathan isn't into cooking just yet! He's working on eating by himself!! He's such a big boy! Way to go with that spoon, Finn!!

Tanks + boys= a GREAT morning

We spent a great morning climbing on tanks and having fun! Our boys are such monkeys! They had fun "driving" the tanks and running all around them. Jonathan wanted so desperately to climb like his big brothers! In a year or so, he'll be right there with them!
