Blackberry Farm

We try to make the most out of the time we have together on Saturdays, without doing too much! Today we spent the afternoon at Blackberry Farm with some good friends. Blackberry Farm is a pioneer village with a train, carousel, pony rides, and animals. Jackson loved riding the train--even remembers riding it last summer!! Joshua loved the carousel!! Allen Wade and I enjoyed seeing the excitement on their faces!

And then when this happens, it's time to go home!! Joshua did not take an afternoon nap and the grumpiness was beginning to set in!! Let's go home, boys!!

The Avery FIVE??

Just the five of us!
You might be wondering about the five?? Surprise! We are expecting our third baby! We found out in April that Jackson and Joshua are going to have another brother or a sister! While we are a bit overwhelmed at the thought of having three children in three and a half years, we are excited and trust God that He has the best plans in mind for our family!! The baby is due in December, so we have some time to get used to the idea of being a family of five!

Two fabulous boys!!

We are so blessed by our two boys! God is so good! Joshua celebrated his first birthday earlier this month. Jackson, at 2 1/2, loves playing outside and being active.

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day 2008! The boys and I have been home all day, and we were pleasantly surprised when Allen Wade returned from home before 1pm. We get to actually spend some time together!! The boys are great--healthy and super sweet!! Joshua is working hard on learning to walk--any day now and he'll be cruising! Jackson continues to be a great big brother and learning to share some of his toys with Josh. Some of our favorite activities include riding bikes in the driveway, cooking in our play kitchen, reading books, playing with cars and trains, and of course making music with anything we can get our hands on. This morning Jackson was playing "drums" at the kitchen table with two plastic knives. Joshua takes a wooden spoon and bangs it on any pot he can find.
