Easter egg hunt at church

Our church has a HUGE Easter egg hunt----the brochure said 16,000 eggs! We just had to go yesterday and check it out! The eggs were laying all over the floor in the classrooms--very easy to find. Each kid was given clues with how many eggs they were allowed to find in each room and a specific color to look for! Very easy hunt and really fun!
I tried to get a picture of all the boys in the big room, but they weren't quite being cooperative!
Checking out what's inside the eggs with Daddy! Candy, candy, and more candy!!

Before and after

Here are a few pictures of our living room before...We have lived in this house for 9 months and this space has been empty! It was time to fill it up with some furniture! We bought two new red chairs, a rug, and some baskets to house the boys' toys!! I love the way it turned out (though it's not totally finished yet---still would like to get an ottoman and a small table with a lamp to put between the chairs, but that's down the road a bit)!! It's a clean look, easy with kids, and the new space makes me so happy!!

Bowling!!! And lots of laughing!

Our family went bowling for the first time two weeks! We had such a fun time, despite the fact that we weren't very good! The kids got to use bumpers, which ensured that they would know down some of the pins. AW and I got a few gutter balls! AW was the overall winner and I got beat by a 5-year-old! It was lots of fun! The boys are already asking when we can go back.

Trying to catch up...

I've been a terrible blogger! I'm trying to be better! JW, this post is for you! :) Thanks for encouraging me to update the ol' blog!

We've had a really busy January and most of February. Here are some of the highlights!

Joshua had his second trip to the dentist. He was really scared at first, but then got over his fear and did a great job!
We had a blizzard and got to miss two days of school! :) I was just as happy as the boys!
The snow on our deck out back! We got almost two feet!!
The snow in our basement window well (we never did get covers last summer). Love all the layers!!

We played in the snow...a lot! And had a GREAT time!

I celebrated another birthday and got beautiful roses from my wonderful husband and some lovely flowers from my sister-in-law! It's so nice to have fresh flowers in the house in the middle of a blizzard! I did some baking and made a rose cake, which was just as tasty as it was beautiful, if I do say so myself!

I'm sure there are things that I've left out, but those were the highlights!
